NEW GOALS AHEAD!!

I am so excited to get back into the swing of things, and be the best me that I can be!!
I did CrossFit for many many years. It definitely gave me the body I wanted. Having 4 kids, and then getting those results was mind blowing!
Crossfit was too hard on my body though. To each their own though. Some can handle it, but I have issues with my tendons and joints.
I heard of Orange Theory Fitness. My daughter Brooklyn and I are going to start their program in a couple weeks. It's a lot like a Cossfit, but it will be more controlled and not as rough. We will have our own coach so that will be amazing!!
HERE ARE MY BEFORE AND AFTERS FROM 2012. I WILL POST NEW BEFORE PICS SOON.
STAY TUNED FOR MY FITNESS JOURNEY!!

Want To Get Great Results! Eating Is A Big Deal!

I have been getting a lot of messages asking me the following questions about my weight loss, and muscle gain. Here are the FAQ's.

What did I eat?
I followed a diet called  THE ZONE.
It doesn't even seem like a diet, and it gives you the freedom to choose from almost any foods, what you want to eat. I worked out and didn't see positive results until I changed my eating. An example is a medium female would be 3 blocks. The whole idea is to eat equal amounts of fats, carbs, and protein. I also love the recipes from this website!

This means she could eat 3 eggs, 1 1/2 pieces of toast w/ butter. The eggs are the protein, the bread is the carbs, the butter is the fat. When someone eats just carbs alone it raises their insulin level, so if you don't exercise immediately after consumption your body will store the excess as fat. I also like to have muscle milk, or Pure Protien *available at Wal-Mart* drinks handy. I noticed that I wanted to snack when my body was really telling me I was hungry. I would replace the snack in the zone with a shake. I lost a lot of back fat this way!

How much is CrossFit?
It depends on where you go. I go to CrossFit 435 in Hurricane, Utah. It is around $70 a month with no monthly contract. It is totally worth it!!! It might be more at other CrossFit Gyms. There is CrossFit Dixie in St. George, Utah, and CrossFit Zion in Washington, Utah.

How many days a week do I workout?
I workout 5 days a week. The workouts are anywhere between 30-50 minutes long.

Do I have to be fit to do the workouts?
No!! Everyone has to start somewhere! Even if you have limitations, or injuries you can do CrossFit! They modify, and cater to your specific needs. It is just like having your personal trainer too!

Can my abs ever come back together again?
Yes! Mine totally separated after each child! I have had 4 kids and with hard work, and being consistant with diet and exercise they will come back together again!

When I started CrossFit I had never really worked out before. I would cry through every workout. I don't know why but it made my emotions crazy! I would even cry when jump roping! I couldn't move because I was so sore but I kept going back. I didn't really like the workouts, but I loved the results.
